In 2014, Vancouverites will be introduced to an exciting and delicious new-to-Canada treat. PappaRoti serves buttery, coffee-caramel coated “father of all buns” from Malaysia and will be making its Canadian debut in Vancouver at the mid February.
The first Canadian PappaRoti Café is setting up shop in the West End neighbourhood.
First introduced in 2003, PappaRoti has since opened over 400 locations worldwide with cafés and kiosks in London, Dubai, Singapore and all over Australia. “It’s no secret that food gathers different cultures and brings together people from various walks of life, and the PappaRoti recipe seems to have done just that,” says franchise co-owner Javeed Somji.
“As a result, the now famous PappaRoti bun has become one of the food and beverage industry’s most amazing success stories”.
Franchise co-owner and Director of Business Development Sherri Zarandooz first discovered the mouth-watering pastries herself while working overseas and instantly knew that food-focused Vancouver would embrace PappaRoti with open arms and eager taste buds. While the PappaRoti signature is the delectable and enticing caramel-coffee coated bun, the café also offers an array of locally sourced handcrafted hot and cold beverages, and light meals.
